The original Changes/McChanges software was written in 1989.  At that time, there were only about 120 die-hard college jazz educators who were willing to try this new concept of cataloging solutions to common jazz
improvisation problems.  Making matters worse, there were only a few educators in the U.S. who had access to computers and fewer who actually had machines.
