Larry & Cathy Norred
Larry and Cathy are the new owners of Southern Sound, formerly Kennett Sound Studios located in Kennett, Missouri.  Both Larry ad Cathy have been involved with the music business for almost 25 years.  They both have performed  and worked many commercial recording sessions.  Cathy is a professional singer who can harmonize with anyone on the fly and Larry has been in the music publishing business since college.  They both bring a wealth of musical experience and background to share with our customers and they are ready to make music any time.  Click here to see a detailed resume of Larry's background and experience.

Daren Cunningham
Daren began playing music when he was 8 years old.  After taking guitar lessons for a while, he realized he could play what he heard a lot easier than what his teacher showed him.  From then on, he was on his own.  He played in several bands in high school and in college he joined a local band co-wrote and produced his first record album.  After college he formed a local band and played clubs and parties all over Southeast Missouri.  In the 90's he invested in some recording equipment and ran a studio in his home.  Having operated his own studio, he is familiar with and knows how to apply the fundamentals of recording technology.  Daren is quoted as saying: "Writing and recording has taught me to keep one foot in the roots of music and let the other one fly."
