Changes to the UO Development Team
As many of you may have heard, there has been a changing of the
guard in the UO Development Team recently. We are proud to
announce our new Lead Designers, SunSword and Toad who have been
a part of the UO team for quite some time. Runesabre,
another long
time UO team member and the driving force behind the Siege
Perilous
Shard, is the new Lead Programmer. Also joining the team is
our new
Lead Producer, Jason Bell.

Siege Perilous Goes Permanent
We are very pleased to announce Siege Perilous as a permanent
shard. Designed with the veteran player in mind, this shard
promotes teamwork, communication, and dedication. Siege
Perilous
is very different from the other shards and those who wish to
succeed are wise to adapt quickly.
Siege Perilous now has its own section on the uo.com site in the
Play Guide Section. All future Updates to the shard will
first
appear in “Shard Issues” and then be moved to the Siege
Perilous
section a few days later.

The Companion Program
Do you enjoy helping new players in UO? Does giving advice
and
direction to fellow players give you a sense of satisfaction?
If the answer is yes, then the UO Companion Program may be
perfect for you.
The Companion Program is designed to bring veteran players in
touch with newer players. Companions will have the opportunity
to officially give newer players advice, tips, and guidance
as representatives of OSI.

Call for More Counselors
The Counselor Program still has a few positions available.
As
a counselor you receive special powers that allow you to assist
fellow players and are an invaluable asset to the UO community.

Lord British Award Winners
We are proud to announce the winners of The Lord British
Award for Excellence in the Community for the month of August.
Sabrina Nor- Achievement in Community Organization
Sabrina Nor is very active on the UO community, most notably
on the Chesapeake Shard. Sabrina has been a major
contributor
to the Chesapeake community and is also very active on UO’s
various fan-site development boards.
Brimstone - Achievement in Community Building
Brimstone is a member of the guild “The Lost Order of
Akalbeth”. Brimstone is major contributor to the UO
community
and has written articles on building communities and has
assisted other guilds with their webpages and message boards.
